We proudly possess AFC/PEFC and FSC Certification helping to protect old growth forests, natural rainforests and the associated flora and fauna that co-exist in these environments.

 

Matilda Veneer receives all Queensland species from either private property or plantation, helping to ensure protection of Australian magnificent old growth forests. This fact is further sweetened by the fact that veneers represent an environmentally sound philosophy by giving plantation timbers the look of rainforest timber without the wastefulness.

 

Any remaining timber left from the veneering process is kept and dissected and makes up a large portion of our high quality sawn timber range used in construction and furniture.

 

Our new initiative into engineered natural veneers was born from our environmental conscious. Rather than wasting low quality veneers, we now reengineer these products into highly-valued and sought after products which feature a fully natural product offering designers and architects colour matched veneers without variation.
